The Hong Kong government announced in its policy address on November 25, 2020 that there are 9 specific cooperation projects for the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Among them, the “Hong Kong Vehicles Northbound” scheme that allows Hong Kong vehicles to travel to Guangdong Province via the bridge without quotas. There will be no quota in the plan. Citizens can drive between Hong Kong and Guangdong Province by themselves through the bridge. The bureau is finalizing the details with Guangdong Province. It has initially decided that eligible persons will not stay for more than 30 consecutive days per entry, and a total of 180 days per year, which is believed to be sufficient.
